The democracy shell game
It's a simple game. Just a bit of sleight-of-hand. Put some international aid down, and watch closely as the Palestinian master moves the democracy pea around under the propaganda thimble.
When Israel voiced objections to Hamas terrorists to participating in the upcoming elections, the Palestinians cried "foul" and convinced Europe and the US that it would be "undemocratic" to expect Palestinians to keep to signed agreements which excluded Hamas from fielding candidates.
Watching closely? Under which thimble is the democracy pea? The one on the left? Bad luck! Put some more aid money down, and have another go around.
